Abbie Finn is a drummer from the North-East of England who has over 16 years playing experience.

Currently based in County Durham, UK, her current projects are the Abbie Finn Trio with Harry Keeble on tenor saxophone and Paul Grainger on double bass and the Finntet featuring Graham Hardy, Harry Keeble, Dean Stockdale and Paul Grainger. She also regularly performs with the Harry Keeble Quartet, Dean Stockdale Trio, Alice Grace Quartet, Stu Collingwood Organ Trio and more.

Abbie Studied at Leeds College of Music and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London.

In 2020, she released her debut album Northern Perspective with the trio which received sterling reviews from British jazz blogs and magazines, and radio plays including BBC Radio Newcastle and Jazz FM. Chris Philips of JazzFM dubbed it 'Exceptional British Jazz' and 'An album I'm drawn to time and again.'

Abbie is due to release her 2nd album with the trio in late 2022 / early 2023, which is being funded by Help Musicians on their Recording and Releasing Fund. The album comprises of brand new, original music, that is is centred around varied rhythmic concepts and development and includes heavy improvisation.

In 2022 Abbie headlined the Hexham Jazz Festival, performed at the Manchester Jazz Festival and many venues including Jazz Café Posk London as part of Maxine Gordon’s Sophisticated Giants alongside Tony Kofi, Emma Rawicz and more.
