Andrea Hermenau studied Jazz-piano and -vocals in Munich and Jazz-composition in Dresden.

She is working in various musical projects, such as her own quintet, which was nominated for the BMW World Jazz Award 2020, the band "Die Drei Damen", that released 4 albums on Enja records and other projects with Harald Rüschenbaum, Johannes Enders, Henning Sieverts, Tim Collins, Till Martin and others. In 2021 she was awarded with "Förderpreis Musik" of the city of Munich. In April 2023, her fifth album on Enja-Records will be released, together with saxophone player Carolyn Breuer.
