Christina ZurhausenGermany Cologne
Christina Zurhausen was born in Ruhr Valley, Germany.
As a teenager she loved listening to Punk, Rock and Grungemusic, bands like Wizo, Slime, Rage Against The Machine, Nirvana or Sonic Youth.
Coincidentially she stumbled on John Abercrombie on her beginning 20ths, rising in a huge desire for Jazz music. New heroes were John Scofeld, Thelonious Monk and John Coltrane.
She studied jazz guitar on the music colleges of Cologne and Osnabrück and
got lessons from Frank Wingold, Joachim Schönecker and Philipp van Endert.
Christina ist very active in beeing a musician and a composer.
2015 she founded her Grunge Jazz Ensemble „Ausfahrt“ which released the debutalbum „Vergessene Möglichkeiten“ in 2018 and the second album on Unit Records in 2021.
Other bands she is working with are the videogame music Quartett „Endgegner“ or the trio „By The Way“ with the famous pianist Frank Wunsch and singer Emese Muehl.
