Floor Polder, composer and arranger, draws inspiration from her musical journey to Brazil, where she toured with the Trio Sodade band. Inspired by this experience, she decided to pursue a master's degree at UFRJ University in Rio de Janeiro. She has contributed to music education by creating a method on improvisation in Brazilian music with elements of jazz. This method is available on YouTube as a series of 9 videos.         

Floor recorded with renowned musicians such as Bebê Kramer and Alberto Rosenblit. She has recorded her duo album and EP there. She immersed herself deeply in the dynamic Brazilian music scene and was inspired by influential artists such as Egberto Gismonti and Joyce Moreno. Her return home to Holland is characterized by the development of a unique sound, a fusion of Brazilian and jazz influences, and her own creative vision. Currently she works with the band Banda Fulô form Rotterdam and her own Floor Polder quartet.
