Sofia Will (*2000) is a creating part of the young german jazz scene and part of many projects either as leader or sidewoman.
She finished her jazz saxophone bachelor at the HfM Mainz in 2023 and studied with Claudius Valk, Jesse Milliner and Theresia Philipp. Now she lives in Basel where she is studying jazz composition with Guillermo Klein and Chris Cheek.
She is part of the German National Youth Jazz Orchestra 2023/2024.

With her quintet WILLKÜR she presents her own musical sound and compositions. And with her newly founded Large Ensemble VOLO her music shines in a new and different light. But not only her music is indispensable in the young german jazz scene, as a board member of TONKULT e.V., a local jazz initiative in Mainz, she actively supports and changes the cultural landscape.
In her still young musical career she already had the opportunity to play with great musicians such as Pablo Held, Sebastian Gramss, Paul Heller, and Shelly Phillips.
